Potions, Tonics, Ointments and Poisons...

I hope people have great little spellrooms / witch towers / apothecaries.... because you can now have quite well-stocked shelves....!

I have just finished listing 11 kinds of potions at my online Pixie Dust Miniatures shop.

From Love Ointment, Envy Antidote, Bottled Fame and Eternity Potion..... you'll find it all in the new Potions Range here at Pixie Dust!

Each bottle is carefully made by me using a glass base, mixed media and finished with a brush of gold / bronze of silver-tone dust. They are in one inch scale, but look carefully at the Potion Chart below and you'll see that some are significantly smaller than others and could work in a half inch (1:24) scale scene.

As an introductory offer, all potions are 10% off for today only. This offer expires at this time (noon PST) tomorrow. Click to this section of my shop, click to buy potions and then enter the code: POTION before you pay and 10% will be deducted from your potions (but not shipping).

My Workspace - Potion tables

I'm working on some very pretty Potion Tables at the moment - one or two will be sold at my online Pixie Dust Miniatures shop, and the rest will be sold at the Good Sam Show (assuming I get in... I'm on the wait list due to my application form getting lost in the mail on the way from NZ, but I'm preparing for it anyway!)

I painted and aged the wooden tables and have been making little aged books and scrolls to fill the shelf underneath. I'll post some nice finished photos soon. :)

Elixir of Life Potions

Ever craved the secret to eternal youth, immortality? Mystics, necromancers and sorcerers from East and West claim to have found the key, the mysterious water which grants immortality to the drinker. It was a French wizard by the name of Nicholas Flamel who reputedly created the Elixir of Life.

And now at only $8 a bottle (for a limited time), you too can own it!
Find my 'Elixir of Life' potion bottles over at my Pixie Dust Miniatures online store. It's made by myself in one inch scale and a great way to fill those cupboards and tables in your miniature fantasy scene. They really sparkle in natural sunlight and cast tiny rainbows around them - difficult to photograph, but take my word for it.

Slime, snails and Puppy dog tails

Something new to kick off 2012! Slime, snails and puppy dog tails..... mmmm great for the kitchen cabinet of any stay-at-home witch.

It's an extremely tiny set of jars which includes:-
a faux jade pot of slime with aged label,
a hand-blown glass jar filled with miniature snails, closed with a cork lid and with an aged label,
an aged (with crackle shabby shic finish) jar with cork lid and aged label.

All handmade by myself in one inch (1:12) scale to a high standard with much attention to detail and you can get this set at my online store here. A truly unique design by Pixie Dust Miniatures. ;)

Enchanted pumpkins and gourds, and Phoenix Ashes... tip of the iceberg! Made so much new stock. Hope I'll have time to share and list before I make it to the Tom Bishop fair!

My Workspace... Bottled Magic

Still working hard getting ready for the Tom Bishop Miniature Fair.... argh - still have so much to do!

Making 60 bottles of magic and thought it might be fun to share some snaps of them partially finished. They've got their aged labels and now need to be filled with magic matter. Takes about 30 mins to do each one as each one gets a 100% silk or cotton checkered cap over a lid and is tied with silk thread... bit time consuming! I'm sure I'll be up late and will get them finished by tomorrow afternoon.

I've got some Phoenix Ashes already done... will start sharing photos of finished items soon. :)

Yep, I decided to give away the little enchanted stone bottle that I didn't want to sell. So long little friend... have fun in London.

Don't fret if you wanted an enchanted stone bottle - there are actually two left at my online store and I'll be making some more - each one different and a 'one of a kind'.

The Matter with Magic

Just listed a whole lot of magic matter on my online store - hand-blown glass jars of mugwort which was stolen from a witch's nightstand, damp moss gathered from troll dwellings, molten gold borrowed from goblins and so forth.

These are new designs. The jars are capped off with 100% silk cloth which I recently got at a fair and really love.

All in 1:12 (one inch) scale.
