A Handful of Elves

For those that have asked to see 'un-posed' photos of my Christmas elf helpers, I just took a few snaps this afternoon and here they are...

Lovely bright sunny day in Los Angeles which makes a stark contrast to the drive back from Las Vegas on Friday night which was crazy ferocious storms and snow! Hope everyone's having a fabulous weekend!

Who wants the Deal of a Lifetime?

Who's interested in getting the Deal of a Lifetime?!
Whether you've seen 'Shrek Forever After' (2010) or not, you'll appreciate this little piece of magic. At 1:12 (one inch) scale, this is a replica Deal of a Lifetime scroll as given to the ogre Shrek by the magical con artist Rumpelstiltskin and it comes with a faux ivory pot dripping with gold magic ink and a white quill plucked from the tail feathers of Rumpelstiltskin's Golden Goose. Just like in the film.

The scroll has a real contract written in tiny tiny font and has been signed at the bottom by both Shrek and Rumpelstiltskin. The quill is glued into the pot of ink.

Tinier and tinier... new Half Inch Scale items!

How small can we go? Well for the time being 1:24 scale (half inch) is the smallest I have at Pixie Dust Miniatures! I usually work in 1:12 (one inch scale).

For those that are unsure of the scale, 'half inch scale' means that 1 foot in real life equals half an inch in the miniature world. So a foot-long sandwich from Subway would measure only half an inch as a miniature sandwich!

Take a Leaf out of my Dragonskin Spellbooks!

People kept asking if I had books which opened, so finally here are some opening Dragonskin Spellbooks! Same genuine leather covers with gold or green shimmer. The pages are blank and aged.

Enchanted Stone Potion Bottles

I've finally had the time to take photos of my enchanted stone potion bottles...!

Store magic matter in stone tupperware and it's bound to soak in a tad - hence the enchantment creating faces on the bottles.

They were carefully handmade (without the use of molds) and have glow-in-the-dark eyes. Some of them are topped off with 100% silk cloth, some with real glass decanter stoppers and some have little aged tags.

My favourite is Fidge... not sure if I'll sell him but I will sell the others. Find them at my shop soon!
