Pixies fly away on vacation

Hi everyone,
Just a quick note to let you know that I am taking a vacation for 10 days (for my birthday - off to Cancun, Mexico) so you can still make purchases from my online shop

My Workspace... Playing with Colour

I've really been playing with colour lately! Both at Hummingbird and here at Pixie Dust. (Check in at my other blog to see what's going on with colour over there)...

A Dollhouse Moment on TV!

Had to share this because I thought it was so cool!
It's a recent British TV commercial which takes you into the tiny world of a dollhouse, miniature model railway, snow-globe, and cuckoo clock and advertises the technical communication that keeps them all connected.

Slime, snails and Puppy dog tails

Something new to kick off 2012! Slime, snails and puppy dog tails..... mmmm great for the kitchen cabinet of any stay-at-home witch.

It's an extremely tiny set of jars which includes:-
a faux jade pot of slime with aged label,
a hand-blown glass jar filled with miniature snails, closed with a cork lid and with an aged label,
an aged (with crackle shabby shic finish) jar with cork lid and aged label.

All handmade by myself in one inch (1:12) scale to a high standard with much attention to detail and you can get this set at my online store here. A truly unique design by Pixie Dust Miniatures. ;)

I hope you all had fabulous holidays and enjoyed your time off work and eating far too much! I know I did. It's great being back home and seeing all 5 of my siblings and their partners, eating my mum's brilliant food and playing with the new kittens my parents have.

Here's some snaps of the Pixie Dust Miniatures' Christmas scene this year. As you probably know I moved house from Los Angeles, California all the way to the English countryside (will be in London very soon) so I didn't have the chance to create too much of an extensive new Christmas range this year, but I'll make up for it next year with a huge new range and offer great discounts!

Christmas Elves for Sale on Etsy...

Hello everyone - In case you missed it, the online Pixie Dust Miniatures shop is back up and running! Had to put it on hold as I flew across the pond from California to the UK... with no less than 9 suitcases!

From one film hub to another - I've just moved from Hollywood to Turville - *the* location most filmed in Britain. I remember coming here as a teenager and being told that 'Chitty Chitty Bang Bang' was filmed here, and then spotting a film crew with Sam Neill ('Jurassic Park') and Helena Bonham Carter. It was Sam Neill's birthday and we got to have a slice of his cake. Even more exciting than that, I had a pint at the local pub only to be told that heartthrob Orlando Bloom lives in the same teeny village (population of this village is 100!)

Anyway, yes the cute little Christmas Elves will be available for sale soon...! I'm going to list them at my online shop since people keep asking if they can buy one. Cinderella Pumpkins

Continuing the fairytale magic... here are my Cinderella Pumpkins. They are so pretty! I'm really pleased with how they turned out. They have my signature shimmer to the stems, they sparkle and they glow in the dark. Made to a high standard in one inch (1:12) scale and available at my online shop very soon...

Magic Shop... Final Reveal

You might have caught a glimpse of this magic shop in this previous post... I wasn't able to show much because I promised an exclusive to The Dolls House Magazine. But now that they've run their article I can show all now! You can stay up to date with miniature models better by following my professional blog here by the way.

So here's 'Boggart's Bazaar' - the fantastical magic shop made for a very special client by commission earlier this year. It's 1:24 (half inch) scale.
