My Tutorial in DHMS Magazine!

Guess what?! A new Pixie Dust Miniatures tutorial which details step-by-step how to create your very own Crate of Dragon Eggs is now published in the current issue of 'Dolls House & Miniature Scene'!

A bit about 'Dolls House & Miniature Scene' magazine...

I am sure that most of you are familiar with this magazine, but for those who perhaps are not, click on the links below and discover it today...

'Dolls House & Miniature Scene' is a monthly magazine published in the UK and an excellent resource for miniature hobbyists, serious collectors and professional miniaturists. Each issue has projects, reports on fairs, clubs and miniature news from around the world and great articles about all kinds of miniature artisans. I love diving into their articles and finding all sorts of inspiration there.

They have a website here - where you can find this (latest) issue.

Hope you enjoy my Dragon Egg Crate Tutorial as well as the rest of the magazine. Here's a little preview of it... ;)

From the Dragonkeeper

Lucian 'the Dragonkeeper', as he is known by his friends and enemies, keeps in scarce contact this time of year. Knowing that it is the time of year the dragons hatch their young he's wise to do so. None can get close to the nest of a dragon like Lucian and fewer have a scorched tale to tell of failed dragon egg theft. He has a sort of knack for it and if you're in the need of a dragon egg then there's only one wizard to go to.

Draco Niveus - the dragons of the Nordic mountains... Draco Serpens which slither in the low black rocks of China... Draco Albion - the great beasts of the British Isles... name any of the seven species of dragon and Lucian knows where and how to steal their young.

Enough about the sordid Dragon Trade. If you want a crate of eggs you know who to come to. I am selling them in store now.

Interested in the making of? I blogged about them a few weeks ago here, and it's worth remembering that a full tutorial will be available towards the end of this year in a miniaturist magazine (I'll say who and when nearer the time). ;)

My Workspace - belated Easter magic...

Now I told you all that there *would* be a Valentine's Day and an Easter Range 2013 over at Pixie Dust Miniatures... it's just a tad delayed due to my big house / workshop move!

So, here's a glimpse at part of my belated Easter Range in the making... have a look into my workspace at what I've been up to this week and then look out for the new items (including crates of dragon eggs) over at my Pixie Dust Miniatures online shop here. As you can see I have changed my dragon egg design quite a bit, and when the older range (to be found in store here) has run out then that's it - they wont be repeated!

Check back at my blog here often (or my Facebook page) for updates on a new competition soon and also more tutorials.

If you are on my commission list and haven't received a head's up about when your commission will be complete, then please feel free to email me. I am giving everyone a discount on their commissions lately due to the long wait I have made you endure! :)
